"Lyon" owner Jean-Michel Aulas is no longer going to prevent Nabil Fekir from fulfilling his dream and will allow him to play for another foreign team this summer.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder was linked with Liverpool last summer. The two sides had already agreed on personal contract terms with the Frenchman, but Lyon blocked his move to the Premier League.
However, after the last season's matches, J-M. Aulas admitted that N. Fekir will most likely not be with Lyon next year.
"Nabil is one of those we will have to replace. We understand that he intends to leave," admitted Aulas. "We are grateful to him for all the years, but at the same time, we understand his desires and do not intend to keep him."
N. Fekir has been playing in the Lyon first team since 2013. Over six seasons, the Frenchman has played in nearly 200 matches and scored 69 goals.
