"Lyon" club president Jean-Michel Aulas spoke at a press conference about the future of the team's striker Alexandre Lacazette.
It is reported that the 26-year-old footballer wants to leave the French team, but "Lyon" does not want to let him go so easily and is waiting for a suitable offer.
J-M. Aulas confirmed that "Lyon" had negotiations with Madrid's "Atletico", but talks broke down after the "Rojiblancos" team had their transfer ban extended. Now the club president claims to have received an offer from London's "Arsenal", but even a generous amount of money will not easily convince "Lyon" to let go of the player - they want him to stay.
"Alexandre Lacazette was told that he could leave if he wanted to. We had negotiations with 'Atletico', but they did not end successfully. Now we have received a 'nice' offer from 'Arsenal'. However, in our opinion, he will not leave the team," said J-M. Aulas.
The striker, valued at 50-60 million euros, scored 37 goals in 45 matches last season.
