M. Allegri: "Real" is on another level (+ Z. Zidane's comment)

Massimiliano Allegri's team was once again accompanied by failure in the UEFA Champions League final - Turin's "Juventus" failed to defeat Madrid's "Real" club (1-4) and continues its title drought in Europe since 1996.

The senior coach of the "Old Lady" admitted at a press conference after the match that their opponents played much better in the second half and rightfully triumphed in the final.

"I wasn't surprised by the level of play of the 'Real' team that they showed. Many people said we were favorites, but I certainly didn't see that, because I knew how great a team 'Real' is," said M. Allegri.

"In the first half, we played great, we had a tactical advantage, but in the second half they pressed us. We couldn't do anything against their pressure. The second goal simply killed this match.

During the first 45 minutes, we didn't allow the 'Real' team to play their football at all, but as I mentioned, in the second half their pressure was something we couldn't handle.

We have to continue the hard work to reach the level of the 'Real' team. They have won two consecutive Champions League finals and we are certainly not on the same level with them yet," the strategist didn't spare good words for the opponent.

Zinedine Zidane, who won two consecutive Champions League titles as the first coach and has been coaching the 'Real' club for just a year and a half, did not hide his joy and thanked his team for the amazing match.

"The main success of this whole season is the extraordinary unity of our team - everyone here feels important and capable of helping the team. It was a particularly great year for us. I just want to congratulate the whole team, its staff, and management. We deserve it," said the legend of French football.

The "Juventus" players started the match very actively. In the first half, we couldn't control the ball, but in the second half, the team showed a phenomenal game.

This is a historic day - we have achieved what no one has done before. To win the Champions League twice in a row and score four goals against 'Juventus' in the final, it's something unbelievable," Z. Zidane concluded.
