The coach of Juventus, Massimiliano Allegri, expressed admiration for the club's goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, who will soon represent the "bianconeri" between the posts for the 500th time.
The 36-year-old player is expected to achieve this result in Wednesday's Serie A match against Genoa, and Allegri believes he is an example for the young players in the team to look up to.
"Only a very rare player can achieve this. Gigi deserves it," the coach said at a press conference.
"I think he can still be useful, as he combines the enthusiasm of a young player with the nerves of a veteran."
"His professionalism is a great example for young players learning how to behave in Juventus."
Allegri also said a few words about Paul Pogba, who is among the 23 nominees for the best player in the world award, calling it a great achievement for the French player.
