M. Allegri: "The result is bad, but there is no point in crying"

Massimiliano Allegri believes that Turin's "Juventus" can correct their mistakes in the return match against Madrid's "Atletico".

This season, the "Juventus" team, who were aiming for the Champions League, suffered a painful blow in the Spanish capital - the "rojiblancos" celebrated a victory in their own field with a score of 2:0, so Turin's team will need to score at least three goals to avoid extra time in the second match.

"The second half was terrible, we made too many mistakes, allowing our opponents to gain an advantage. "Atletico" defended well in the match, where they didn't even have a shot on goal until they scored", said M. Allegri.

"We were already taking risks when we lost the ball and allowed them to counterattack quickly. The second half of the match was unsuccessful for us - we couldn't create any dangerous opportunities ourselves. "Atletico" was much more aggressive after the break and surprised us with their set-pieces.

"We still have a chance to turn everything around, we must not lose faith. Several key players will be ready for the next match, so there is no point in crying. We know it will be tough and that "Atletico" will force us to play bad football with a slow pace.

In the first half, we played the ball quickly, but all of that disappeared in the second half. These things can happen. We feel a huge disappointment with the result, but we believe that we can change everything", the coach explained.
