The club acquired goalkeeper Manuel Almunia. The amount of the deal is not yet disclosed.
The 27-year-old player belongs to the Vigo club, but he spent the entire last season on a team he was loaned to.
"We are very happy to have acquired M. Almunia, whom we have been observing for a long time," said Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger. "He is a goalkeeper who will be a good support for the team. While playing for the Albacete team, he proved that he can play at the highest level."
Last season, he played 22 matches for "Albacete" and helped the club secure a place in the highest Spanish football league.
"I am very happy to play for Arsenal," said M. Almunia. "It is a great club with many fantastic players." Last season, Arsenal showed that they are one of the best clubs in Europe and I am very happy to now be part of the team. I hope I can help the club compete for trophies next year."
The player will soon join the Arsenal club, preparing for the upcoming season.
