Florentine's "Fiorentina" has announced that they have extended contracts with Marcos Alonso and Mati Fernandez.
Chilean national team member Fernandez will remain with "Viola" until July 2018, while Alonso has tied his future with the club for five years.
The Spanish defender has become one of the key players of the team this season and has played only three matches in the "Serie A" championship.
Meanwhile, Fernandez has faced more competition for a place on the field, but in the 15 matches he played, he justified the expectations of "Fiorentina" coach Paulo Sousa.
After 18 rounds of the Italian championship, the Florence team is only one point behind the leader Inter Milan, so the new contracts for important players should provide additional motivation in the fight for the "Scudetto."
