M. Arteta: "I’m glad that Edu was a part of my life while coaching the Arsenal club."

The head coach of London’s Arsenal club, Mikel Arteta, commented on the departure of sporting director Edu from the team:

I really enjoyed working with him. I am very happy that Edu was a part of my life while coaching the Gunners.

Edu had an amazing opportunity to do something special in a different role. He feels that this is the best for him.

Edu is leaving us, we respect that, but my plan and vision is to remain with this team.

We have a club full of leaders, and our commitment to working on this journey is not going to wane.

Edu has been part of the London Arsenal team since 2019.
