M. Asensio: Hard work pays off on the court

21-year-old Madrid's "Real" talent Marco Asensio is the brightest star of the team this season - the Spaniard with four goals so far is the most productive in the team.

Yesterday, "Real" competed in the second round of the Spanish "La Liga" championship without the services of Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos, and Raphael Varane. The "Whites" faced difficulties fighting against "Valencia" and only managed to equalize at the end of the match.

The most prominent player in this match was M. Asensio, scoring two excellent goals and coming close to his "hat-trick" at the end of the match. However, the efforts of the young footballer were not enough to achieve victory, but M. Asensio himself step by step takes away the starting spot from the struggling Gareth Bale.

"I am happy with my goals, but it's a bit painful that we could only draw in this match. At the end of the match, we did everything to achieve victory, but luck was not on our side", said M. Asensio.

"I feel important among the team's players, as does everyone else here. There are no starters and substitutes - everyone is equal and everyone has a chance to play.

"I have always worked hard in training on long-range shots. Now this work has brought results. We need to forget about this match and focus on the national team," added the football talent.
