Sevilla's Brazilian defender Marcos Assuncao injured his shoulder during training on Monday and will not be able to play for about a month due to this injury.
The 29-year-old defender, known for his strong and accurate shots, will be a serious loss during Wednesday's UEFA Europa League round of 16 match against Alkmaar's "AZ".
"He will not be able to move for about 15-20 days," the chief physician of "Betis" told journalists. "Only after that he can start training cautiously."
M. Assuncao returned to the lineup for Sunday's match against La Coruna's "Deportivo" after a month and a half of recovery from a muscle injury.
