Jurgen Klinsmann should stay as the head coach of the German national team even after the World Cup, as his chosen tactics are correct in the long term, said the German national team captain Michael Ballack in an interview on Monday.
"The fate of every national team coach has become extremely dependent on short-term results. Every coach only thinks from tournament to tournament," M. Ballack spoke to the newspaper "Die Welt."
The German stated that J. Klinsmann managed to inspire a fairly young team, which did not have previous tournament stars.
"He has assembled a team with a lot of potential and with a bright future predicted for it, - said the captain of the German national team. - I would like him to stay, because in my opinion, it would be beneficial for German football."
Recently, the German media speculated about the emerging disagreements between M. Ballack and J. Klinsmann regarding the latter's tactical decisions.
J. Klinsmann was also criticized by the German media and even by one of the greatest German national team players of all time, Franz Beckenbauer, for spending most of his time not in Germany, but in California.
