Former German national team captain Michael Ballack believes that Mesut Ozil has not yet decided on his future at London's Arsenal because he is waiting for coach Arsene Wenger's decision.
However, the 28-year-old footballer's compatriot also reminds that if he decides to leave the Gunners' team, the midfielder will not have many options, as there are only a few clubs that could buy him.
Linked with a departure from the English capital, Ozil could change teams this summer along with another star, Alexis Sanchez, as Wenger's proteges are still struggling to fight for the major titles.
"A player like him, who has represented Real Madrid and now Arsenal, and who knows the Premier League and La Liga, has his own unique instincts and experience," Ballack told Sky Sports.
"In addition, there are not many clubs where he could go now and who could buy him. I think he needs to come to terms with the decision he will make."
"However, it also depends on what Arsene Wenger will do next, as they have a good relationship, and maybe he is waiting a bit for that."
It is worth noting that Wenger's own contract ends after this season.
