Michael Ballack's agent hinted that despite interest, his client is not planning to leave the Munich club in January. His 29-year-old goalkeeper contract expires next summer, and he mentioned that if he wants to stay in the current club, he will inform them by the end of this month.
"I really can't imagine him leaving for another club in January. That would be an illogical decision," his agent Michael Becker pondered. "He hasn't talked to anyone about his future yet, at least not with an outside club."
It is speculated that "Bayern" is offering the German star a four-year contract extension. Head coach Felix Magath wants to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and concentrate on playing on the field rather than off-field problems.
"Michael will announce if he wants to stay in the current club, or clearly identify his future club," M. Becker affirmed. "This will allow him to start negotiations in January. On the other hand, I'm not sure if he firmly decided who he wants to link his future with, but I think he is very close to making the right decision."
If he decides to leave the current club, "Man Utd" will most likely try to attract the German star, as he would be an excellent replacement for Roy Keane, who is probably leaving the team this summer. However, besides the "Red Devils," the captain of the German national team is especially interested in the clubs Real Madrid and Milan.
