M. Barreto: "The boys were fantastic"

Kaunas "Stumbras" head coach Mariano Barreto praised his players after a victory in Palanga (2:0) and was happy about the debut of young Rokas Rasimavičius in the A League.

"We played a good game. After the first half, we could have been leading 2:0, but we missed a penalty kick and hit the post once. We completely controlled the game and did not allow the opponents to cause any problems for our goalkeeper.

After the break, we continued to attack, were sharp, but couldn't score. It's nice that the boys didn't give up, persistently sought their goal, pressed the opponents, created chances, and eventually got their reward," shared the coach about the game.

Having won two games in a row, "Stumbras" moved up to fifth place in the A League standings. According to the coach, this is a reflection of hard work.

"On Sunday, we played tough games in Jonava, and three days later we had a tough match in Palanga. The boys were fantastic. They controlled the game, pressed the opponents, and defended well. These matches are a good gift for our young Rokas Rasimavičius, who made his debut in the A League. Also for Andre Almeida and Jardel Nazare, celebrating their birthdays," he smiled.
