M. Batshuayi: "Chelsea" was tough, but now I trust myself.

Michy Batshuayi is happy to have gotten rid of the problems that haunted him in London's Chelsea and to have rediscovered himself in the ranks of Borussia Dortmund.

The Belgian national team member was acquired by the "aristocrats" after representing Liege's Standard and Marseille superbly for a number of years. However, in the English capital, he was merely a substitute for Diego Costa and Alvaro Morata.

Although the 24-year-old striker had already scored 10 goals this season, Chelsea decided to buy Olivier Giroud. That's why Batshuayi was loaned out to the Germans.

"It was not always easy in the Chelsea ranks. Now I play with a lot of confidence in myself," - after scoring a brace in the UEFA Europa League against Atalanta, the Belgian told "Sporza".

"When you're in a situation where you sit on the bench, score a goal, and then go back to the bench, it's quite difficult for a striker to accept."

Batshuayi started his career with BvB jerseys with five goals in just three games, but he also added that he is not sure if coach Antonio Conte still sees him in his plans. This is despite the fact that there is no buyout clause in his loan agreement.
