M. Bielsa revealed the reasons why he refused to work at the "Lazio" club

"After two days of work at Roma's club, Marcelo Bielsa, who resigned from the position of head coach, revealed the reasons why he had to resign so quickly.

On Wednesday, the capital club officially announced that they had reached an agreement with the strategist, but just two days later, M. Bielsa announced his resignation. Roma's team released a public statement, stating that they did not understand the coach's choice and promising to take legal action.

However, it was not necessary to explain for long why M. Bielsa decided to resign from his position at Lazio. The Argentine coach revealed the motives that led to this drastic decision.

"After four weeks of work at this club, we were unable to acquire at least one of the seven players who were included in President Claudio Lotito's work program. We also took into account the fact that only 18 players would have been involved in the season preparation cycle.

"Our contract stated that by July 5th, we could acquire at least four players who could start preparing for the season. Due to my working style, it was important that these players arrived on time.

It is important to note that the motives for this resignation are not related to another offer - I do not have one. Soon we will send documents confirming the resignation," M. Bielsa wrote.
