Ole Gunnar Solskjaer temporarily replaced by Michael Carrick on Thursday after the victory against London's Arsenal left the Manchester United club. Although it was announced that the Englishman would stay in Ralf Rangnick's coaching staff, the former Man Utd player decided to step down from coaching for now. "The years spent in this club will always remain the best in my career. When I signed my first contract almost 15 years ago, I never expected to achieve so much with this club. I will never forget the time spent within the Manchester United ranks. However, after much consideration and contemplation, I have made the decision to step down. I want to thank all the players and staff for their great work. I will always be a Manchester United fan and promise to attend as many matches as possible. I want to wish the new coach and the whole club the best of luck," commented M. Carrick on his decision. The Englishman played for Man Utd from 2006 to 2018, and later joined Jose Mourinho's coaching staff.
