Experienced Manchester United defender Michael Carrick says that the "Red Devils" will have to fight for the Premier League title next season.
This season could be the first in 19 years for the Manchester club to not qualify for a European tournament. In order to play in the UEFA Europa League, "Man Utd" must defeat the Southampton footballers away and hope that Aston Villa will beat the Tottenham team.
In the coming weeks, "Man Utd" will have a new coach and M. Carrick believes that the changes over the summer will allow the team to fight for the English champions' titles next season.
"This club is constantly moving forward and always takes care of its players, trying to develop good players."
"It can be said that this is a new beginning, because from now until the next season there will be a lot of changes. How much we will change is unclear, but it is important to strengthen, improve, and fight again on all fronts next season. This is our goal and setting ourselves smaller goals would be meaningless," the 32-year-old defender emphasized.
"We will not be satisfied with just qualifying for the top four. We want to fight for the highest goals," said M. Carrick.
