According to the official website of London's "Arsenal" team, defender Mathieu Debuchy will not be able to play for three months because he underwent surgery on his left ankle.
The Frenchman was injured in a match against "Manchester City" in the "Premier League".
"He was recently operated on and will not be able to play for 3 months," club manager Arsene Wenger said on the official website.
"Everything went smoothly, he may return a few weeks earlier or a few weeks later, but it is expected that he will be able to recover within 3 months."
"Of course, this is a blow, but whether he is strong, we will find out later, as it will depend on how we replace Debuchy. For this purpose, we bought Chambers."
Calum Chambers was replaced by Hector Bellerin in the UEFA Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund due to illness. The main substitute for Debuchy should be an Englishman, not a Spaniard.
