Madrid's "Atletico" forward and former "Barcelona" player Memphis Depay gave an interview to the newspaper "NOS" before the upcoming European Championship qualifying matches.
The 29-year-old footballer wanted to talk about midfielder Frenkie de Jong's absence from the training camp due to injury.
"We are disappointed that Frenkie de Jong is not here. He is one of our main players"
"I called Frenkie and I can say that it is not a major injury and he will recover quickly. I am a close friend of Frenkie's and I am disappointed"
The first Netherlands qualifying match will take place in Group B, away against France on March 24.
