Memphis Depay was linked with a move to Barcelona until the end of the transfer window, but the Dutchman ultimately stayed with Lyon. The 26-year-old winger, speaking to NOS, confirmed that he had already agreed personal terms with the Catalan club, but stated that he will now focus all his attention back on Lyon. "I was very close to moving to Barca. I don't want to go into details, but there are certain rules that prevented my transfer. Nevertheless, I believe that everything in life happens for a reason. Now I will focus all my attention on Lyon and I want to continue to be an important player for this team. We will see what happens in the future. If I continue to show good performance, interest from other clubs will not disappear," said M. Depay.
