Former Premier League standout Marouane Fellaini has ended his football career.
After a spell in China, the 36-year-old Belgian officially announced his retirement at the "Shandong Taishan" club.
During his career, M. Fellaini played 667 matches, scored 136 goals, made 63 assists, and won 9 trophies.
The midfielder represented four clubs, spending two years at "Standard Liege", five years at "Everton", six years at "Manchester United", and four seasons in China.
Upon hearing the news, Jose Mourinho wrote a message on social media to the retiring Belgian: "I would not forget those who gave everything they could. You have always been and will always be one of a kind.
Congratulations on such an amazing career and take care of your ankles, which have endured a lot," wrote the Portuguese.
