M. Giampaolo: "We did not deserve the defeat"

Italian team "AC Milan" suffered another defeat in the Serie A championship on Thursday, losing 1:2 to "Torino" in an away game.

The Milan team took the lead after Krzysztof Piatek converted a penalty kick, but at the end of the match Andrea Belotti scored two goals to secure the victory for the hosts.

After the game, "AC Milan" coach Marco Giampaolo stated that his team should have created a bigger advantage and did not deserve the loss.

"We could have closed the match much earlier. In the first half we completely controlled the situation and I asked the team not to lose control after the break and to aim for the second goal, knowing how dangerous the 'Torino' team can be. However, they managed to equalize, and our team simply lost balance, but that cannot be an excuse.

We did not deserve to lose. We played really well and regained confidence in our abilities after a poor performance in the derby. I hope the team does not lose faith, as we are moving in the right direction," Giampaolo said.
