Despite being constantly linked with a move to another club, Mario Gotze insists that he is not interested in leaving Bayern Munich.
During the summer, various media outlets reported that the footballer was being sought after by Juventus as a replacement for Arturo Vidal, but ultimately Hernanes was the one to replace the Chilean.
Now the German national team player claims he wants to stay with the Bundesliga champions for a long time.
"I made my own mistakes, but I also had to endure many things that were really confusing. The last two years have definitely been a process of growth for me," Gotze told Suddeutsche Zeitung.
"I feel very happy here, proud to be a Bayern player. I would really like to become the face of Bayern. I have had an important role in the last two years, but in the future I want to play an even more important role."
"I have never considered a transfer. It is possible that other clubs were interested in me, but the possibility of leaving Bayern does not interest me."
The author of the decisive goal in the World Cup also said he regrets not explaining his decision when he moved from Borussia Dortmund to Munich. According to the footballer, his choice was not influenced by money, but by sporting principles.
