The Slovak football legend Marek Hamsik hung up his football boots while playing for the national team.
The 35-year-old defender ended his career in the national team after a 0-0 draw with the Chilean team.

M. Hamsik played a total of 135 games for the Slovakian national team, during which he scored 26 goals. Perhaps the most memorable goal by the Slovak representing the national team was the rocket shot against the Russian team at the 2016 European Championship.
The center-back currently plays for "Trabzonspor" team.
