Mats Hummels bowed his head towards Lionel Messi after losing in Barcelona.
In the Champions League match on Wednesday, Dortmund's Borussia, represented by M. Hummels, acknowledged Barcelona's 1-3 advantage. The Argentine contributed to all three goals - one goal and two assists.
After the match, M. Hummels admitted that no team stands a chance against the in-form L. Messi.
"When Messi is in his best sports form, he is the best footballer I have ever seen. It is undisputed," the defender said.
"We were not good enough to beat Barca. Throughout the game, we created three or four real opportunities.
It was a very poor match for us, and Barcelona was excellent. Of course, having Messi in their team is an advantage because he always poses a threat," the German added.
Barcelona secured the first position in the group after the victory, while BVB and Inter will compete for the last ticket to the quarterfinals.
