Former "Arsenal" player Martin Keown commented on the controversial decision of the "Gunners."
Last summer, the London team bought "Lille" forward Nicolas Pepe for 72 million pounds sterling, who so far has failed to adapt to the team.
In 7 "Premier League" matches, the Frenchman managed to score only one goal and now has to withstand growing criticism.
"How is Pepe adapting to the team? After all, a huge sum of money was spent on him and now "Lille", who has greatly enriched, can laugh at us.
"Of course, it's too early to talk and maybe the player will still show his potential, but I don't see in his performances what I expected," Keown said.
