Legendary Italian national team and Turin's Juventus coach Marcelo Lippi has announced the end of his career. The 72-year-old specialist has been unemployed since November 2019, when he resigned from the position of head coach of the Chinese national team. Speaking to "Radio Sportiva," M. Lippi admitted that he does not plan to return to the touchline. "My coaching career is definitely over. Perhaps, I will try myself in some other role. However, I don't plan anything until at least spring," said M. Lippi. The Italian, with Turin's Juventus club, won the Serie A championship five times and lifted the UEFA Champions League trophy in 1996. Since then, the Juventus team has not won the tournament again. In 2006, M. Lippi became a world champion with the Italian national team.
