Legendary Italian coach Marcello Lippi believes that an unsuccessful penalty kick should not tarnish goalkeeper Jorginho's reputation. According to the world champion, the goalkeeper should remain a main candidate to triumph in the "Golden Ball" awards. Jorginho's recent miss in the World Cup qualifying match against the Scots may cost the Italian team dearly, but M. Lippi has no doubts about the capabilities of his compatriots. "Of course, I am confident. Certainly, winning against the Scots would have been better, but this is a group of intelligent people, including the coach. They know that the final result will still be achieved. And I would give the 'Golden Ball', despite last night's miss, to Jorginho.
