St. Petersburg's "Zenit" coach Mircea Lucescu hinted that the team's star Axel Witsel wants to leave the club.
This means that he could soon join Turin's "Juventus". According to various reports, Belgian also attracted interest from Liverpool's "Everton", but the details of the transfer could not be agreed upon.
It is worth mentioning that Witsel started his first match in the Russian championship only after coming on as a substitute.
"Axel asked for permission to leave," Lucescu said after the match against Moscow's "Lokomotiv", according to GazzaMercato.
"I said that I need his experience, but, I will repeat, Axel wants to move elsewhere."
Witsel is seen as the most realistic replacement for "Manchester United" for Paul Pogba.
