Mario Mandžukičius says that the victory of the Croatian national team in the World Cup semi-final is a miracle.
The striker himself sent the English footballers into despair by scoring the winning goal in extra time, after which Zlatko Dalič's team triumphed with a score of 2-1.
Until now, Croatia's best achievement in the tournament was reaching the semi-finals in 1998, but on Sunday they have the chance to go all the way and win the trophy.
"This is a miracle. Only great teams can be as brave as we were and come back after conceding a goal against teams like England. Throughout the tournament, we played with all our heart," said Mandžukičius.
"I am satisfied with my performance in all the matches. I am here for the team. I enjoy these games. Against Denmark and Russia, we felt pressure, but everyone saw what we did today."
"Tonight on the pitch we were like lions and we will be the same in the final. We enjoyed the match."
In the World Cup final, the Croatian players will face the French national team.
