Despite reports that Bayern Munich will be adding Robert Lewandowski to their roster this winter, Mario Mandžukić, the main striker for the Bavarians, stated that he would like to stay in this club until the end of his career.
In the summer of 2012, the Croatian striker, who arrived at the German champions' team, immediately broke into the starting lineup and outperformed Mario Gomez, who moved to Fiorentina.
However, all summer there were rumors that Borussia Dortmund's striker would join Josep Guardiola's proteges, but that did not happen, although the Pole will most likely still move to Bayern in the winter.
"If it depends on me, I will end my career in the Bayern team," - said the footballer in an interview with "La Gazzetta dello Sport."
"We are a family here, and that is our strength. Everyone in the club gets along well, I am very happy to be part of this team," - added Mandžukić.
Last season, the 27-year-old striker scored 22 goals in 40 matches played in the UEFA Champions League champions' squad.
