One of the best Croatian forwards of all time Mario Mandžukić has retired, the footballer himself announced it on his Instagram account. 35-year-old M. Mandžukić's last club was "AC Milan", where he spent the last season. There, the Croatian started only 2 matches from the beginning of the season and played a total of 10 matches. Before the end of his career, the striker had two offers to continue it, but ultimately decided to retire. In his Instagram post, M. Mandžukić wrote a message to his younger self, and the end sounded like this: "You will understand when it is time to end your career, when you have to hang up your boots and you will not regret it. Football will always be a part of your life, but you will wait for a new stage of life." Mario also added: "P.S If you play against England in the World Cup, be ready around the 109th minute." Reaching the World Cup final with Croatia in 2018 was one of M. Mandžukić's greatest achievements. That year, the forward was one of the most important Croatian players and one of the best players of the tournament overall. Later, he officially announced his retirement from the national team, and now he has ended his career in club football. Throughout his career, M. Mandžukić had excellent seasons in Germany at clubs like "Wolfsburg" and "Bayern", where he also won the UEFA Champions League. He also left his mark at clubs like Madrid's "Atletico" and Turin's "Juventus".
