The London club "Arsenal" is close to acquiring Mikel Merino.

The midfielder from San Sebastian's "Real Sociedad" team and the Spanish national team has agreed to move to the "Gunners" team.

The 28-year-old European champion has reached personal contract details with the English vice-champions.

The Basques intend to acquire M. Merino for 30 million euros.

If Mikel Merino moves to "Arsenal," his replacement is likely to be PSG midfielder Carlos Soler.

M. Merino has played for the "Real Sociedad" team since 2018, appearing in 242 matches and scoring 27 goals.
