Former owner of Milano's "Inter" Massimo Moratti revealed several interesting stories from the past involving the "Serie A" team. According to the Italian, they were almost in agreement to acquire the famous forward Eric Cantona, and before leaving for the "Barcelona" club, the scandalous Zlatan Ibrahimović made pessimistic predictions that, by the way, did not come true.
"In 2009, he moved to Catalonia, and when he said goodbye, he stated: "It's great to play here, but without me, you won't win anything". However, Ibrahimović was mistaken - the arrival of coach Jose Mourinho helped "Inter" win three trophies in one season.
In 1995, Moratti went to London to finalize the deal for E. Cantona's transfer. However, in the matches between "Man Utd" and "Crystal Palace", he laid out a kung-fu kick on a fan of the latter team and therefore did not want to move anywhere.
The president tried to shake up the "Serie A", but remained unsuccessful - "Roma" leader Francesco Totti was not sold.
"In 2007, I went to Rome and talked about the acquisition of defender Chivu. I told Sensi, the head of "Roma": "If you want, you can sell F. Totti, just write down the numbers on the check. However, I was told that the forward would never be sold to another club".
