The talent promising Real Madrid from Norway Martin Odegaard finally decides to gain experience in the strongest league of the Netherlands. Celebrating his 18th birthday in December, M. Odegaard would have already gone to compete in the Ligue 1 last summer, but according to FIFA rules, Real could not loan a minor player. Having reached the age of majority, Odegaard is now loaned for a year and a half to the Heerenveen club, which is performing successfully in the Dutch premier league - currently in fourth position. Real Madrid acquired M. Odegaard in 2015 when he was only 15 years old. The attacking midfielder played two matches for the main team - he played the full 90 minutes in the King's Cup this season. Real Madrid believes that Odegaard will gain necessary experience in the Netherlands and return to the club, just like 20-year-old talent Marco Asensio did successfully.
