Former "Ballon d'Or" winner Michael Owen believes that "Manchester United" needs to make changes in their coaching staff, as Jose Mourinho has not improved the team in all his years at the helm.
The tragic start to the season for the "Red Devils" continued at the London Olympic Stadium - in Saturday's match "Man Utd" lost 1-3 to "West Ham". After the defeat, Mourinho's team dropped to the 10th position.
"Can someone tell me what the differences are between the current 'Man Utd' team and the one from three or four years ago? It continues to be a team of average abilities," said the former player on the "BT Sport" show.
"The only thing that has changed in this club is that Jose Mourinho has brought in new players. He probably bought the best player in the past four years in the Premier League - Alexis Sanchez. Forget the fact that he didn't play today. In most of this season's matches he has been off his own pace.
"Look at Paul Pogba, who can win the World Cup with France and be the best player at Juventus. Today he is just another mediocre player at 'Man Utd'.
Under Jose Mourinho, all attacking players play just like they did years ago or are even worse. No attacking player improves under him.
The defenders are quite good, because he is a defensive style coach. The current team lacks direction, in general, they have not found the right path in all these four or five years," added M. Owen.
