The player pulled a tendon in the second half of the match between Liverpool and k. Owen could not play in the Premier League match against and will miss the friendly match against Sweden this Wednesday.
Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier hopes that the player's injury is not very serious and is waiting for his quick return. He said on the official club website: "Michael may not play for about 10 days, but we hope to see him back for the match against Blackburn.".
