Mesut Ozil is changing teams in Istanbul. On Wednesday, Istanbul's "Basaksehir" club officially announced that they have signed a contract with the German player of Turkish roots. According to the press release, M. Ozil terminated his contract with "Fenerbahce" by mutual agreement and later the news about the contract with "Basaksehir" was confirmed. Last month, the 33-year-old midfielder expressed his desire to stay in the "Fenerbahce" team, but this desire was not fulfilled.
