One of the highest-paid London "Arsenal" footballers Mesut Ozil appeared in just one game this season in the "Premier" league.
The 31-year-old German's contract with the "Gunners" is valid until the end of 2021 and despite reports in the foreign media about a possible departure of M. Ozil, the player himself confirmed that he will stay with "Arsenal" until the end of the contract.
"I am not planning to leave. My contract is valid until the summer of 2021 and until then I will be in this club.
When I signed a new contract with "Arsenal", I thought for a long time, as it was one of the most important decisions in my career. I did not want to stay here for another two or three years, I wanted to link my future with "Arsenal", and the club wanted the same.
Everyone can go through tough times, which I am facing now, but that is not a reason to escape. I will be here at least until 2021," - M. Ozil said in an interview with "The Athletic".
