M. Ozil Removed from Most Popular Computer Games in China

Midfielder Mesut Ozil of London's Arsenal team attracted Chinese displeasure last week when he accused this country of inappropriate behavior towards one of the Muslim ethnic minorities on his Twitter account. Such comments from the 31-year-old German, who comes from Turkey, quickly sparked a reaction in China, and the national broadcaster refused to broadcast Sunday's Premier League match between Arsenal and Manchester City. It seems that this conflict will not be resolved in the near future, and it was also reported on Wednesday that M. Ozil has been removed from popular computer games FIFA 20 and ePES 2020 for the Chinese market. The Arsenal club itself distanced itself from the player's comments.
