London's "Arsenal" star Mesut Ozil admits that he constantly strives to improve his weaknesses. Their main one is playing with his right foot.
The German national team member made 19 assists in the "Premier" league last season, but this year he completely changed his style and scored more goals.
In an interview for the official club website, the midfielder also noted that playing in England requires a lot of energy.
"If you want to improve as a footballer, you have to work on your weaknesses every day," Ozil said.
"You have to have talent, but of course, nobody is perfect and you have to work hard to minimize these shortcomings as much as possible. That's why I try - for example, I'm not ambidextrous, so I also work hard on my right foot."
"Especially if you play in the 'Premier' league, you have to take care of your body because matches require a lot of energy. That's why you have to work hard to maintain your physical form."
"I knew that if I moved to 'Arsenal', I would improve even more, especially because of the coach. I am on the right path, the team really supports me, the coach trusts me and you can see that I enjoy my game."
This season, in 14 matches in all competitions, Ozil scored seven goals and made four assists.
