After the break of the national team, Mesut Ozil is ready to sit down at the negotiating table to sign a new contract with London's Arsenal.
The 27-year-old footballer's contract is valid for another two years, but it is believed that he should receive a significantly higher salary.
Last season, the German was one of the leaders of the Gunners and scored six goals in the Premier League, as well as provided 19 assists.
"My contract is valid until 2018. We discussed, but talks were stopped because of the European Championship," he said.
"At that time, I wanted to focus only on the national team. Now we intend to resume negotiations."
Ozil also mentioned that in the future he may return to Germany or move to the MLS. He singled out Los Angeles as a city where he often vacations, as a place that "inspires him".
