Mesut Ozil's agent Erkutas Sogutas shared news about the ongoing negotiations for a new contract for Mesut Ozil with London's "Arsenal".
The German national team member is committed to the "Gunners" only until next summer, and there were rumors that he might leave during the last transfer window, with "Barcelona" and "Manchester United" showing interest.
However, the 28-year-old footballer is still in the English capital, and his team has not yet received a serious offer.
"Mesut is happy to hear about the interest from 'Besiktas,' but we have not received any offer," Sogutas told Fanatik.
"Even if it were to happen, he wants to play in the Premier League for at least another two or three years."
"Our contact with 'Arsenal' continues and we are moving in a positive direction."
Ozil, who is currently recovering from a knee injury, has played in five matches so far this season.
