China's top league team Shanghai SIPG recently approached "West Ham United" regarding the acquisition of forward Marko Arnautovic, but the "hammers" rejected the £35 million offer.
During a press conference yesterday, coach Manuel Pellegrini confirmed that the club does not want to sell M. Arnautovic, but if both parties manage to reach an agreement, he will not stand in the way of this transfer.
"The player would stay, if I said it was necessary," the Chilean coach said.
"I do not dictate to the club how they should behave. If it is beneficial to both sides, we will manage it even without Marko, but the club does not want to sell him."
The Austrian national team member joined "West Ham United" in the summer of 2017. Since then, he has played 53 matches, scoring 19 goals.
