Before the FIFA congress taking place next Friday, where a new leader of this organization will be elected, UEFA president Michel Platini held a press conference, during which he did not hide the fact that Europe will support Jordanian Prince Ali bin al Hussein as the new head of world football.
The Frenchman did not hide the fact that he was very displeased with the events of recent days, when even after the corruption scandal that erupted at the FIFA headquarters, the organization's leader Sepp Blatter decided to break the silence wall and intends to be re-elected for a new term.
"In my opinion, this is a huge shame for world football," said M. Platini. "Recently we have had a lot of scandals. I know that FIFA is the mother of us all, and talking about the mother like this is really not allowed, but the situation is really tragic. These things make me sad."
M. Platini did not hide the fact that on Thursday, 54 UEFA members decided that tomorrow they will support Blatter's competitor.
