During the UEFA Super Cup winners' award ceremony, the cameras captured a funny moment: UEFA President Michel Platini wanted to present two medals to Madrid's "Real" star Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese player scored two goals in the match.
When M. Platini handed him the second medal, the footballer showed that he already had one, as he received it from another person during another awards ceremony. Jokingly, they probably exchanged a few words about the two goals.
On Tuesday, in the Welsh capital Cardiff, the Champions League winners Real Madrid defeated the Europa League winners Sevilla 2:0 (1:0) and won the UEFA Super Cup for the second time after a twelve-year break.
Both goals for the winners were scored by C. Ronaldo (30th and 49th minutes).
This was the fourth match for Real Madrid in the Super Cup, and their first two attempts in 1998 and 2000 to win the trophy were unsuccessful.
