M. Pochettino about longer "Ajax" rest: "It is not fair"

Already on Tuesday, in the first UEFA Champions League semi-final match, the teams of London's "Tottenham" and Amsterdam's "Ajax" will compete.

Before these matches, "Ajax" will have enough time to rest, as the entire "Eredivisie" round was rescheduled due to their European journey. In turn, the "Tottenham" team awaits a city derby with "West Ham United" on Saturday.

Such a situation is particularly unsatisfactory for "Spurs" strategist Mauricio Pochettino, who believes that "Ajax" has an unfair advantage in this case.

"I know that the Premier League and FA tried to help us. But the truth is that the English and Dutch leagues are completely different. Football in Europe is different from England.

The reality is that "Ajax" will have more time to prepare and avoid additional risks. On Saturday, we have a derby awaiting us, where we will also fight for important points, so we may encounter problems.

In my opinion, this is not fair. Even if we had a week to prepare and "Ajax" played on the weekend, I would say that it is unfair to them.

I do not want to start discussions. The fact is that both teams should have equal time to prepare for the Champions League semi-finals," - said M. Pochettino in communication with the media.

The first match between "Tottenham" and "Ajax" teams will be played in London on Tuesday.
