M. Pochettino: "Chelsea" won the title because they spent a lot of money

London Chelsea coach Antonio Conte has said that in the battle for the Premier League title, London Tottenham had the advantage, because Mauricio Pochettino has been leading this club for the third year.

Nevertheless, the "Blues" strategist does not agree with this assessment and believes that money had a much greater impact on the end of this season.

Let's remind that yesterday the "aristocrats" secured the title of English champions by beating the West Bromwich team with the minimum result.

"I understand him. It is difficult for him, because he has always been a coach who liked to work with young talents and develop them," said Pochettino.

"Signing a contract with a club like Chelsea is difficult, because you face pressure to win and spend money, as they did by acquiring David Luiz, Marcos Alonso, Batshuayi, and Kante. I completely understand that, but I don't know if I agree with him that this (a longer time at the helm of the team - ed. note) is an advantage."

"Arsene Wenger should win the league every season, because he has been in charge for 20 years, if that is a suitable way to measure our advantage. I think it's unfair to compare me, as well as compare with Wenger. 20 years is a huge advantage. Why doesn't he win every season?"

"This is not a criticism. It was not the best comment from him (Conte - ed. note).

Tomorrow Tottenham will host Manchester United at home. Victory in this match would secure the second place, which would be the first such finish in the club's history.
