M. Pochettino hopes to work at "Tottenham" club "for at least five more years"

Recently criticized London "Tottenham" coach Mauricio Pochettino does not intend to resign. On the contrary - the Argentine stated that he hopes to stay at the North London club for at least another five seasons.

The "Tottenham" team, which started the season in a sluggish manner, collected 11 points in 7 rounds. This week, the "Spurs" were humiliated in the Champions League, losing 2-7 at home to Bayern Munich.

Approaching the weekend round of the Premier League, M. Pochettino hoped that the loss to Bayern would motivate his players to work harder and regain mutual understanding.

On Saturday, "Tottenham" will play away against the "Brighton" team.

"On Monday, I was the best, and on Tuesday I became the worst. That's the reality when you lose and can't defend yourself. For five and a half years, we've been talking about my future at every press conference. I am prepared to spend at least another five years in this club," said M. Pochettino at the traditional press conference on Friday.

"Football is a game that should be enjoyed. When you lose - it's hard to enjoy, but there's no need to create drama," continued the 47-year-old Argentine. "That's why we are not going to create a drama."

Asked if the five-goal margin defeat to Bayern was the lowest point of his career in London, M. Pochettino said: "I don't think so. If we talk only about the result - yes. However, in those five years, we certainly had games that were worse in terms of performance."

"Tottenham" fans are waiting for their supported team to return to the path of victory. Meanwhile, after 7 rounds, the "Spurs" are already 10 points behind the Premier League leader "Liverpool."

"We need to move forward and be ready for every game. We must make an effort to demonstrate the best quality of play, the season is moving forward and we cannot wait. There's no need to stay at home for three days and cry. Now we need swift actions, stick to our ideas and become stronger than we have been so far," said M. Pochettino.
